The grand cathedral, the endless amount of food and drink opportunities and the countless number of retail shops that flood the streets are just some of the things you can do when visiting Köln. However, something that may not get the attention it deserves would be "The NS-Dokumentationszentrum" that is hidden in the mist of all the shops that have taken over the city.
Our team decided it would be a great idea to visit and get a better understanding of what had taken place back then, in order to widen our own knowledge, however depressing and miserable it may be. I believe that the world has develpoed a lot since those days of peril and anguish that certain divisions of society had to go through, but it doesn't shy away from the fact that people are still regurlarly victimized for matters involving skin-colour, religion, background and much more.
So we must ask ourselves "Has society really changed?" In hindsight, yes it has. Society all around the world has changed, without a doubt and become more tolerant of different ethnicities, cultures. Societal changes that have estabilished themselves over the past few 80-90 years have been groundbreaking and I believe it is the most welcoming time to express differences in the current climate. Unfortunately, there are still many people that are victims to discrimination and if we don't spread awareness, there will still be many cases of discrimination still occuring in various communities. That is why we strive for equality and at the least make the world available for anyone without having to worry about being segregated on something as petty as their religion etc.
I like your comment and definetly support the message you want to publish. It's a very important topic and the people have to wake up.
